I'm an intern with a nonprofit and my current job description includes quite a lot of things, but recently my job has centered around marketing on social networking sites. I currently manage their Twitter accounts and their profile/correspondence on a website for people to review nonprofits, and will be also managing their Facebook page very soon. I'm also in the process of learning about search engine optimization, which isn't quite the same thing, but seems somewhat related, at least.

My boyfriend has a job interview with this company, and we cant find a website. They called us; when we look online we find LOTS of job ads with descriptions about representing fortune 500 companies, marketing and lead generations; and there was a twitter about a scam but the account was suspended so we cant actually read the tweet. All in all, shady. But jobs don't come easy and we don't want to rule out a opportunity just because its a start-up without a lot of background. If anyone actuall...
Such as facebook, YouTube, Twitter, ebay, ect...
If you have a new website such as those above you don't have any data base of people so imagine facebook just lunched its website, you enter the site and you will find a couple of persons (most probably the engineers and their families there.
I guess you will not add your Profile right.
How come now these sites have thousands of members.
What is the marketing strategy.

This year I started a computer repair business, and I'm currently working my business full time, but I need to get more customers in order to be viable as a business.
All of my customers have been very happy with the service I've provided, and several have been repeat customers, but I'm having a hard time getting new customers.
Currently I'm doing advertising online with superpages/yellowpages and pay per click with the big search engines. I'm also getting in the local yellow pages, but I...

I'm a 13 year old girl in the market for a cell phone; I'm getting rid of my old TracFone. I need something that runs on Verizon, that's my only option. I text a lot. I use Facebook and Twitter quite often. I like multiple apps, and it's great when they're free. I suck with touch screens. I like the new Droid though- I'm seriously considering it even though it has a touch screen. My price range isn't quite sky high, but I don't have to limit myself too badly. If someone could guide me to a good ...

I'm helping out with marketing a business and they really need more followers on twitter to create a buzz. And the website says that they'll get you 10,000 followers, but are those followers going to STAY? Or are they gradually going to unfollow you? Because if they are then it's a stupid waste of money, and this is serious business. Money is involved.

Hi ^^
How does new websites as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc. produce money?
All of them are free-sites. I've even read that megacorps as Microsoft, Yahoo, Apple have invested and mantain financial interest in all this services.
So, what's the business behind them? Advertising, marketing, publicity?
Thank You!
