In the world of Google, there are two different advertising programs AdWords and AdSense. The only differences between the two is placement and benefit. AdSense is Google’s way of delivering the created AdWord ads and placing them directly on individual websites. AdSense CPC then will allow you to create some of these ads, which will then be placed in the appropriate places on the internet through Google rankings.

To begin: open an AdWords account and create the right ads based on the keywords related to your product or service. Once you have created your ad, the system takes over from there. However, you can take that a step further by buying AdWords and AdSense advertising as well, so that you have some define some of your parameters, especially within the AdSense CPC campaign itself. For instance, you can limit the amount that you spend on your CPC or CPM amounts so that you do not exceed an allotted budget on a day where everyone is stuck at home with the flu and suddenly gets the urge to click on ads related to your specific keyword.
The benefit of the AdSense CPC is simple: you only pay for ads that are clicked on. If you are never paying at all, the ad is not drawing attention or it is just not being placed in the right audience. Remember, your quality score can lower the amount that you pay for CPC and if it needs adjusted for some reason, it should be done. Obviously if you are paying through the nose of AdSense CPC you are getting a lot of traffic and the keyword is obviously a valid one, both criteria for determining your quality score.
