Which super-smartphone to buy (iPhone 3GS not available)?
Hello everyone. I have decided to buy myself a super-smartphone. The problem is, I live in India.
The iPhone 3GS is not available (legally) in India. It is not even launched here.
What I need, in order of priority: Web browsing on the move, solid build quality, reliable OS, Facebook, Exchange email, a few games.
Now considering the 3GS is not available in India, here are my options. Please suggest the next best one.
1. iPhone 3G: This is an outdated phone, and available only with Airtel. It ...

Cosmetic companies that do not test on animals?
Preferably ones that i can find at drug stores/super markets because that is easiest and most convenient for me..
I recently watched a video, on animal testing. It shows pictures and describes what cosmetic companies do to these animals. I do not eat meat but i had NO IDEA that these companies did things like that. I really want to use products from companies that do not test on animals. However, i can not seem to find solid information that says "this company does" or "this company does not"....
Why do you think Obama is not electable? Can’t identify who is middle class?
In the YouTube moment of the debate, co-moderator Charlie Gibson of ABC News asked Obama twice why he wanted to raise capital-gains taxes since such a move would both 1) hit the middle class and 2) produce less government revenue. Obama--who didn't seem to know that middle-class people pay capital-gains taxes, since he had just moments earlier promised not to raise taxes on people making under the $200,000-to-$250,000 range--gave this answer:
"Well, Charlie, what I've said is that I would look ...
Have you ever decided to learn to play an instrument…?
...and then run into it at every turn?
I'm in the market for a flute, and have been both hearing them *everywhere* and hearing where one would fit nicely...
I think it's like getting a new car and then seeing them everywhere.
Not sure how good of a question this is... for instance, if you've decided to take up guitar, and then hear them everywhere because you listen to rock music... well, duh.
BQ: What's your favorite rock track featuring flute?

Not a single Republican voice has answered this question in earnest?
How can you in good conscience vote for McCain?
McCain has enabled Oil companies rise to tyranny! Our oil companies have gone global now, it's no longer 'our' oil. They don't care about peace or justice, only expansion and power. So conservatives, please think twice before going along with 'free market' arguments. If you have a car, even you wealthy few have a dent in your wallet from the gas prices. One more Oil company crony in the White House (and with Palin we'll have 2 - again!), and Oil wi...
Is McCain for deregulation or regulation of the economy?
I don't really understand this. Over the last few weeks, McCain has come out in favor of regulatory oversight over investment banks. Yet throughout his whole career -- he has consistently defended DEREGULATION, which is exactly what brought on the current crisis.
In 1999, McCain voted for the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which loosened restrictions on the activities of banks, brokerage houses, and insurance companies. In 2002 he voted for the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which in fact increased the respons...
Lou Dobbs, and Obama Birth Certificate advertisement?
So the George Soros funded mediamatters.com folks are after Lou Dobbs at CNN news. Apparently his crusade on getting our Presidents long form birth certificate is gaining traction amongst too many Americans. Now, media matters has decided that differing opinions in politics are worthy of spending multimillion's of dollars, on local, and national markets throughout the US.
I guess anti-liberal free speech must be stamped out, but anti-Bush expressions are not worth running ads to condemn such a...
Laser TVs and best buys employees in denial?
So I went into best buy a while back and asked the "TV expert" why I should get a LCD or plasma now instead of waiting for laser TVs. He laughed at me. Told me that laser TVs are just in theory and wont be workable or ready to manufacture/produce widespread for quite some time. He said there was a better possibility of newer better LCD and Plasma TVs coming out before laser, he said laser was years off. I told him that I didn't believe him and I left the store. Feeling defeated I checked the int...
Troops already deployed on US streets to control unruly people?
Thousands of Troops Are Deployed on U.S. Streets Ready to Carry Out "Crowd Control"
Members of Congress were told they could face martial law if they didn't pass the bailout bill. This will not be the last time.
By Naomi Wolf
08/10/08 "AlterNet" -- Background: the First Brigade of the Third Infantry Division, three to four thousand soldiers, has been deployed in the United States as of October 1. Their stated mission is the form of crowd control they practiced in Iraq, subduing "unruly indiv...
