I applied for a job through craiglist and i got a call from someone at costco about this. is it a scam?

If the call is from Costco, then it is not a scam
Maybe your job is to be one of those who are cooking some of Costco’s food items for tasting of shoppers or making demonstrations of some of the products sold.
Contact them — that’s the only way you can find out if it really is a scam or not.

As one of the Event Managers for Club Demo I assure you we are not a scam. I have been with Club Demo for the last 7 years but Club Demo has been providing demos within Costco since 1988.
