Having XP Home doesnt specify you problem. How do you access your mail? Is it from a free mail service like Yahoo/Gmail/Hotmail?? Do you access your mail from their corresponding websites? (or) user mail clients like Outlook/Thunderbird??. Here are your various Options.
1). If your are using Websites to access your mail, select the spam/bulk mail and ‘mark it as spam’. Most mail services have this feature. Detailed steps will be depending on ur mail service. This would send all those unwanted mail to the bulk folder or even stop them from entering into your mailbox.
2). If you are using Mail Clients like Outlook / Thunderbird. You can manually mark mails as spam, thus preventing them from downloading them into your computer or let your Anti-Virus do it for you. Most Anti-Virus tools have Spam Filter that integrates with your mail Client. you can use, AVG / Norton / McAfee with your XP Home and Outlook.
