Question by Samian’s 10th -Giuliani 2012: If Craiglist shuts down the Erotic section, won’t all the prostitutes simply move to the Personals section?
Because of the whole “Craigslist Killer” thing in Boston, I understand that Craigslist is shutting down their Erotic section at the end of this week to stop prostitution.

But what I’m trying to figure out is, couldn’t the prostitutes simply move to the Personals section instead?

I actually like how Hookers advertise on Craigslist. It takes them off the street and is diminishing the pimp industry since most of the online hookers are independent. Also, the “deed” is done in private residences rather than in alleys. Public Demonstration is the main problem with prostitution.
